Close to 40 people participated in the Organizational Conversation on October 27 at Tampa Unity Church. The conversations were well received. Please review the list of summarized responses to the three conversation questions. A consensus suggested that the next step might well be holding several neighborhood conversations around the Bay area, building up to a larger regional conversation. Special thanks to Sharon Joy Kleitsch for serving as the conversation host.

An Organizational Conversation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011, to explore the possibilities and potential for forming a Tampa Bay interfaith organization. Faith leaders and activists are invited to participate in the conversation, which will use the World Café model. The conversation will be held at Unity Church, 3302 West Horatio Street, Tampa, from Noon to 2:00 PM. Lunch will be provided and participants are asked to RSVP by October 25 using the online form found at http://interfaithflorida.com/?page_id=3759
The conversations will revolve around three specific questions. Participants will be asked to listen for how they can affirm the responses of their conversation partners. Conversations will take place in small groups of three to four people.
The questions for reflection and conversation are:
- 1. When you think of being part of an interfaith group, what makes you want to be involved? What might keep you away?
- 2. How could an interfaith organization improve the quality of life across Tampa Bay?
- 3. How have your perceptions about interfaith activities been affirmed or altered by this process today?
